An immensely important, reissued early work by Rubalcaba, when he was in his late Miles Davis/Weather Report stage. I wonder if he’d disavow this stuff now. Anyway, it’s a landmark work in Latin jazz, fully fusioned out, heavy with synthesizers. It’s so dated it sounds kind of quaint. El Negro’s on drums, and it is a work of genius, if a bit tinny and well, corny.
