"We are both great fans of Eddie Palmieri's groups. La Perfecta, with the great trombonists Barry Rogers and Jose Rodriguez, and el maestro Manny Oquendo, was excellent. We love the way they played together. For anybody who plays bongo and campana, you have to listen to this record. When Manny Oquendo (timbales) comes in, there is no doubt where the groove is. It's there! It's a freight train. Ismael Quintana is the lead vocalist. Eddie sounds great. It was difficult to pick just one Palmieri CD. I picked this one because of Manny's bell. Excellent!"
