"This is one of the best pachanga recordings of the early '60s. It was originally released on the Columbia or United Artists label (if I'm not mistaken), and was obviously recorded in a quality studio with a good engineer, because I remember the sound as being outstandingly crisp and clean. The instrumentation is interesting also. It's a charanga rhythm section, with flute, but utilizing trumpets instead of the traditional violins. There are no weak tracks on this CD; from the beginning to end, it's nothing but solid swing." (Henry Fiol 98/99 Catalog)
