This is one of the classic EGC albums from the Gema period and it’s great to have it reissued here in this nice package. If you have not seen the video clip of the band performing “El Jala Jala”, do so at once — that’s when the band’s infectious sound and party atmosphere becomes real. To see the vocalists Pellin and Montañez dancing the jala jala with some Puerto Rican bathing beauties at a hotel poolside, while Raphael Ithier and the band are bopping madly about in the background, is a liberating experience.
