Sonora Ponceña began recording for Inca Records in the 1960s and remained with the label into the '90s. 1970's Fuego En El 23! is from the period prior the label's sale to Jerry Masucci of Fania Records. This reissue features great illustrations of the original vinyl album sleeve and record labels. The band's cover of the Arsenio Rodríguez classic "Fuego En El 23" became one of their trademark hits that they have re-recorded a couple of times. Simply essential stuff.
