Ray Perez offers his brand of no-frills, gritty straight up salsa — the kind that I personally admire. This compilation of 17 fiery tracks is comprised mostly of Pérez' group Ray Pérez y Su Orquesta, but also includes material from his other bands Los Kenya and Grupo Casabe. This stuff has got a very loose, descarga, feel with free wheeling moñas and tumbaos.
