What a great surprise to come upon this gem of a CD. Re-released from the 80's (Monueando), in the SAR tradition, with very little fanfare or promotion, this production represents the best in the Roberto Torres sound — very rich grooves permeate almost every cut. With unrelenting tres and piano montuno riffs (Victor Trias and Alfredo Valdes, respectively), it is charged with a rich blended Cuba/New York/Miami flavor. Hats off to both Angelo Vaillant and Chico Alvarez, who offer truly kick-butt vocals. A top notch production. Recommended. (BP, 2000-04-24)
