Maria is the sister of Bueva Vista Social Club star Eliades Ochoa who, by the way, appears on tracks #4 and #7 on this CD as a special guest. It's in the genes, apparently, because this mostly son recording is a lovely effort. The band is very complimentary, never over-shadowing Ms. Ochoa's vocals. The tres player, Rey Cabrera Castelanos, does a remarkable job adding accents that seem to fade in and out -- like a butterfly dancing around, and through, of a ray of sunlight. Recommended.
