What a terrific vibe-based release this is! Veteran vocalist Jimmy Sabater, of the Joe Cuba band fame, has a rich, swanky approach and has never sounded better...he does a perfect job handling the arrangements of pianist Ricky Gonzalez, Hiram de Jesus and the legendary Alfredo Valdes Jr.
This very fine band, led by José Mangual Jr., produce grooves that swing and are highly danceable. Nicky Marrero and Mr. Sabater trade timbale riffs. Full of flava, baby.
