Enjoyable DVD compilation of the top salsa bands from Discos Fuentes, Colombia. This is the DVD counterpart of the popular CD of the same name. There are some very good segments here, and also a few lame ones. But, for my money, the most entertaining segments were those from La Sonora Carruseles. They put on a superb live performance. Did I mention the hot dancing babes? With more gyrating rear-ends per square TV inch than I have seen on any music video, the Carruseles should win the award for “Best Butt Close-ups.”
Fruko Y Sus Tesos, Los Titanes, The Latin Brothers and Gabino Pampini are some of the other luminaries on this DVD. It was also good to see some of my perennial favorites on screen: Joe Arroyo and Alfredo De La Fe.
