Caņa Santa, is an excellent young Cuban band that is helping to maintain the son tradition of dance music. On this rich, soulful project, they enlist some heavy-hitters as special guests: vocalist Juan De Marcos Gonzalez (Afro-Cuban All Stars), Eliades Ochoa (Buena Vista Social Club), Pedrito Calvo (formerly of Los Van Van), pianists Cesar Pedroso "Pupy," and Manolito Simonet. Not bad, eh?
