Nasty salsa from Miami; the cover has Ramos handling a pile of guns. Hmmm…Anyway, even though the recording sounds a bit distant, the music’s swinging with arrangements by Jose Lugo, Bobby Valentin and others. Ramos writes all the tunes. The coros are swinging and good, and Ramos, a nasal singer in the Puerto Rican style, makes the music exciting, even if he’s talking about defending oneself with guns. Recommended, with or without a membership in the NRA.
