If you were among the many who wished Amar Sin Mentiras, Marc Anthony's recent pop effort, was a salsa release, do not fret. Only one month later comes Valió La Pena, a fresh, Salsafied reconstruction of most of the same tracks as Amar Sin Mentiras. To be exact, seven of the eight tracks on this salsa project come from Amar. There's a track, "Lamento Borincano," that's exclusive to Valió.
Very well done production and arranging by Sergio George -- listen to "Se Esfuma Tu Amor." It's one of many danceclub ready tracks that sizzle. And the title track "Valió La Pena" is a most definite DJ Alert -- a killer track.
Now that's more like it.
