Enjoyable DVD of Joe Arroyo's powerful blend of salsa Colombiana. The first half is a live concert performance from, I assume, Colombia. The liners don't mention these minor details. The rest is a mix of live tracks and videos: some very good, and some falling short -- occasionally relying on cheap video effects. There are, however, strong arrangements and, sporadic, superb dancing peppered throughout.
The live tracks are surprisingly good quality, and the power of the performance easily transcends the occasional graininess. The songs are broken down into tracks, so you can easily navigate this one.
Includes some of Mr. Arroyo's best tunes like "Confundido," "Echao Pa'Lante," "La Noche," "Te Quiero Mas," and "Rebelion."
