In this video, Kim continues with and expands on his extremely thorough presentation of Mozambique, the Cuban Carnaval music created by Pello el Afrokan. While Mozambique! Vol. 1 covered a more folkloric style of the rhythm, in Mozambique Volume 2 Kim shows how the rhythm is commonly played in a band setting. The second half of this video is devoted to the "New York" style, played on congas and timbale, which is generally understood as Mozambique in the U.S.
