Diego Gale, Colombias premier salsa delegate demonstrates the proper use, and the relationships between, congas, timbales, bongos, campana, maracas and guiro.
Using a fiery hot salsa tune as a basis, Diego dissects the percussive elements one by one. With the help of his brother Jimmy Gale (with whom he improvises with later on in the DVD) and Tato Tatín Benitez, the rhythmic foundation of salsa, charanga, danzón, guaguancó and cumbia are presented.
