New Jersey checks in. Berrios, a strong, burly sonero with a good band, has put together a salsa dura release that bristles with slick action. It’s traditional, in the same way that the great salsa always was, sophisticated, smooth, and ready for the dance floor. Berrios can sing; nice stuff all around.
