As an orchestra leader, Mr. Rivero has created a rich, full sound and his hard driving percussive finesse is guaranteed to keep the dancers moving— he's brought in high caliber players like Spanish Harlem Orchestra's Peter Nater and Raul Agraz.
A terrific job by singers Manny Mieles and Pedro Martinez. Listen to "Ay! Mujeres," and the hauntingly beautiful "Mi Yambu" with the great Nelson Gonzalez on tres. With top notch arrangements, mostly by Eric Figueroa and Andre Hernandez, Pasos Gigantes features special guests Papo Lucca, Giovanni Hidalgo, Alfredo De La Fe and Nelson Gonzalez.
