This new DVD from acclaimed timbalero Pablo "Chino" Nuñez is the follow up to his popular and informative DVD, 'The Rhythmic Construction of a Salsa Tune - Vol. 1' This time, Chino and his special guests George Delgado and Jorge Gonzalez move past the basic rhythms of Volume 1 and show the viewer the ins and outs of playing with other musicians. Learn how to start and finish songs; how instrument patterns and various instruments compliment one another; watch how the players interact with each other. Chino teaches five distinct Latin rhythms - Bomba, Cumbia, Plena, Caballo, and Charanga and demonstrates how every instrument's part - including Timbales, Conga, Bongos, Plena, Guira, Guiro, and Cowbell is played in each of the five songs. As a special learning feature, you can turn off any of the individual tracks and play along.
Chino has been playing percussion for over 30 years. He has a broad and respected musical background and has played and recorded with some of the greatest Latin musicians, including The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Marc Anthony, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Tito Nieves, Ray Barretto, Hector Lavoe, Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, Ray Sepulveda, India, Larry Harlow, Tony Vega, Michael Stuart, and Eddie Palmieri. For the past 10 years, Chino has also been producing bands and arranging music in his own recording studio.
