In the vein of the great Cuban orchestras like those of Miguelito Valdés, Rolando La Serie, Pupi Campo, and Peréz Prado, here's a terrific compilation of material by the Peruvian pianist pianist-composer and bandleader Lucho Macedo. Althought the documentation is minimal at best, I would guess that the bulk of the material derives from the '50s and '60s. With the fiery "Yo No Bailo Con Juana," "Compay Lobo," "Sabor A Mi," "Caramelo," "Ave Maria Lola" and many others. With Rosita Negreiros, Cesar Gonzalez and Manolo Castro.
