Here's some classic big band swing with guaracha-guaguanco (think salsa), bolero, mambo, jala-jala and other dance rhythms from the Puerto Rican bandleader. For Esta Noche, Cotto enlisted some top tier singers like Marcos Millan and Chivirico Davila. The sound here is pretty darn good, and some of these tracks, like the sizzling "Silencio" simply rock. Also with "La Casa Del Jabonero," a plena-bomba, "Cuando Yo Me Muera" -- another uptempo dance track, and the tipico salsa track, "Son Borincano." Nice! Originally on the JMC label, reissued here by Salsa International.
