Let me just say that the only bad thing about this project is that it’s too short, clocking in at twenty-three minutes, over just five tracks. Otherwise, a major piece of late salsa brilliance led by the singer Radames Plaza, who in some ways has been made free by not having to worry about a hit, too much. Hard-core salsa dura, with fantastic singing by Yan Collazo (also known as Mike Collazo) and others, including Jamie "Megui" Rivera (formerly of La Solucion), Mannix Martinez (formerly of La Terrifica and Sonora Ponceña) and Hector Ray (formerly of Salsa Fever). What we have here, besides deep, deep swing, is a lesson on how to sing, with each of the singers improvising like they’re absolutely having fun; it’s amazing, the high level of talent here. The project also includes timbalero Tito De Gracia, Luis Aquino, Hector "Pichie" Pérez, Eliud Velazquez, Johnny Torres and others. More, please.
