Yet another powerful band from Colombia, one that sits down and tells you immediately what it knows how to do, which is swing a place into the ground. The band, with a full horn section, moves through salsa and mambos, drawing on material from Chano Pozo, Chivirico Davila, Arsenio Rodriguez, Willie Chirino and Eddie Palmieri, among others (ok, there’s more: they do "Esta De Bala" by Orlando Marin). A huge coro surrounds one of the lead singer’s quivery voice; they know how to play mambo, and it all sounds great.
