Yes, right, this is how it can be done, collecting the biggest hits of the hour in Cuba; let Planet Records do it twice a year. Included here is Me Mantengo, a hit from Van Van (who, oddly, are putting out their next album on Planet), along with a new version of Marilu by Pedrito Calvo, pieces by Bamboleo, Charanga Habanera (featuring the rappers Gente de Zona, who also get their own tune featured, with a quote from DLG’s Juliana). Haila, Paulito, Osdalgia, Reve and others show up. Man this is good, a mix you can live with. I mean, Bamboleo, timba of steel. Ouch.
