Cool session from Venezuela, a salsa date that has a touch of the descarga to it, solos and a stretched out feel. Toro’s a Venezuelan percussionist and arranger who puts in some interesting harmony occasionally and a bunch of percussion breaks. It’s another U.N. date, also, with Swedes, English, Colombians, Chilenos, Mexicans etc. taking part in the session. Totally amiable and well played and elegant; good for late night radio.
