Soft and sweet salsa, old-school, meaning that things get cooking after a while, i.e. this is big radio material. Arrangements by Cucco Pena, mostly; no album like this would be complete without a few tunes by J.L. Piloto and the playing’s by an all-star Puerto Rican crew, including William Thompson and Tito de Gracia on percussion, and Wichie Camacho, Darvel Garcia and Jose Ramos on coro, along with Ceferino Caban and Carlos Martinez on piano and bass. As good as commercial salsa gets, highly professional and swinging.
