Direct from Caracas, here's a lavish production of pop-soul mega-hits reinterpreted as Latin soul and salsa fireballs. Leader and percussionist Francisco Rojas brought together Venezuela's best musicians like pianists Joel Uriola and Victor Mestas, trumpeter Jose Cheo Rodriguez, trombonist David Gonzalez and many others. Terrific job by lead singers Fidel Leonett and Francisco Samuel who sing the tracks, at first in English, and then kick in with Spanish when the temperature rises. They take on "What's Going On," "Killing Me Softly...," "You'll Never Find Another Live Like Mine," "Me and Mrs. Jones" and a bunch more universally known hits. Perfect dance-club material. Big DJ Alert.
