Here is the new release from pianist/composer/arranger José M. Lugo, the man who brought us the amazing Guasábara (which was a Best of 2008 Editors Pick award winner). This is some heavily swinging salsa-jazz featuring percussionist Pablo Padín, bassist Jorge Rodríguez, trumpeter Jan Duclerc, sax player Frankie Pérez and others.
With vocals by Jose "Pepito" Gomez, Lugo, Anthony "El Super Achote" Negrón and Roberto Angleró. Coroistas are Jerry Medina, Wichy Camacho, Juan José "Juanchy" Hernández and Gino Melendez. Is another Grammy in the stars? Quite possibly. Very Highly Recommended.(BP)
