This 1978 release contained more than a few of Lavoe's major hits. Ruben Blades gave Lavoe the song "El Cantante" to help him through a difficult time in his life. According to Blades, "He sung the hell out of that song." He's right. This 10 minute version of "El Cantante" is worth the price alone. (BP)
