1970's Salsa Y Control, the sixth of 16 albums the Lebrón Brothers made for Cotique Records between 1967 and 1982, became their biggest hit, selling over a million copies worldwide. The majority of the tracks became perennial favourites. The title track has been covered by a number of bands since the resurgence of salsa dura in the 1990s.
